How would you describe the sound character of the C2X espressivo?
The instrument offers very good power for its size, and the overall tonal density is convincing. I found the middle register particularly impressive in terms of richness and carrying power. Overall the piano provides a strong and well-founded sound that works well within its intended category..
How does the instrument respond in terms of touch, control, and expressiveness?
The touch feels very comfortable and highly responsive. I felt strongly connected to the keys, which allows for easy playability and a high level of precision—especially in pianissimo, which is very accessible on this instrument. The richness of sound supports expressive playing and shaping of phrases, particularly in the middle range, which I find to be the most compelling and emotionally supportive part of the piano.
How do you assess the piano’s size in relation to its performance and professional use?
The power and projection of the instrument are clearly greater than one would expect from its size. Compared to other compact grands, I found it impressive in terms of dynamic range and presence. I can imagine practicing demanding repertoire on this piano and using it for advanced work. It offers a balanced touch and reliable control, making it well suited both as a high-level practice instrument and for teaching, including lessons and masterclasses.
